JV Victory over Waukesha on 1/7/10

January 10, 2010 — With a relentless 29 shots on the opponents goal, the Arrowhead JV hockey team carved out a narrow victory over the Waukesha Wings 2-1 on Thursday January 7th at Eble Ice Arena. A power play goal was scored in the first period by #50 Paul Burant, on co-assists from #45 Mike Adams and #36 Graham Bird. In the second period, #21 David Diel scored, with an assist from #12 Sean Frey. Goalie Parker McColl had 9 saves. The Arrowhead JV hockey team continues on a roll with a record of 11-2-1 tie.
JV Wins Marquette Invitational

December 30, 2009 — The Arrowhead JV team had a 3-0 sweep to win the Marquette JV Invitational on December 28-30 at Eble Ice Arena, marking the fourth time they've won the holiday tournament in the last five years.
On Monday, they kicked off the tournament with a 4-0 win over the Marquette Hilltoppers. Goalie Tim Routes got the shutout with 9 saves. On the offensive side, Arrowhead fired 35 shots on the net. Goals were scored by Sean Frey (assisted by Graham Bird), Mike Adams (assisted by Jared Johnson); Jesse Reed in a power play (assisted by Jared Johnson); and Jared Johnson.
In Tuesday's round, Jared Johnson notched a hat trick to propel the Warhawks to a 4-1 victory over University School. The fourth Arrowhead goal was scored by Sean Frey.
In the final game on Wednesday, with Parker McColl tending the net, they sealed the championship with a 3-1 win over Catholic Memorial/Pius. Jared Johnson added his second hat trick of the tournament, with assists to Brian McColgan, Mike Adams, and Sean Frey.
The wins extend the JV teams unbeaten streak to eight games. During that stretch they're 7-0-1 and have outscored opponents 39-10. The JV team travels back to Eble on January 7th to face-off against conference rival Waukesha at 8:15pm.
JV Skates Past Sun Prairie

December 22, 2009 — The Arrowhead JV Hockey team, led by Coach Ron Chmill, added to the win column on Tuesday night with a 4-0 victory against the Sun Prairie Cardinals, bringing their record to 8-2.
Goalies Parker McColl and Tim Routes combined for shutout. Arrowhead got off to a quick start with two power play goals in the first period by Mike Adams and Sean Frey.
In the second period, Mike Adams took a pass from Jared Johnson to make it 3-0. The Warhawks extended the lead to 4-0 when Jared Johnson connected in a little role reversal from Mike Adams. The JV team will be defending its 2008-09 championship in the Marquette JV invitational on December 28-30 at the Eble Ice Arena in Brookfield.
